USC Credit Union

A Neighbor You Can Bank On

USC Credit Union is a community development financial institution (CDFI), federally insured by the National Credit Union Association (NCUA), an Equal Housing Lender,  the largest Los Angeles-based Minority Depository Institution (MDI) credit union, and the only credit union designated as a Juntos Avanzamos institution headquartered in Los Angeles. USC Credit Union serves a field of membership open to anyone living, working, worshipping, or attending class in South Los Angeles. As a credit union and not a bank, every member is an owner – there are no stockholders. We provide member-owners higher rates on savings and lower rates on loans. We believe it is our responsibility to promote equitable financial well-being for all and are committed to uplifting our communities through meaningful financial literacy education; encouragement of savings and financial management; building of credit, and promotion of debt management; providing low-interest rate transportation finance options; and addressing housing and increasing homeownership.

For nearly 50 years, USC Credit Union, a not-for-profit financial cooperative has sought to provide exceptional value and service to each member through a diverse portfolio of deposits and lending products.  We now proudly extend our services and products to the university’s surrounding community of South Los Angeles.

USC Credit Union offers a full suite of banking services to narrow the wealth divide and financially elevate individuals and families. We have a diverse and bilingual staff in our branches and call centers. We offer Spanish versions of our online and mobile banking and our website to better serve our community. There has never been a more substantial need for the active engagement of nonprofit CDFIs, like USC Credit Union and its fellow members of the South Los Angeles CDFI collaborative, to financially empower South Los Angeles residents.
